Spring Interest Groups
Spring Interest Groups focus on Big Challenges or Big Questions—issues that benefit from a broad interdisciplinary approach. The instructor of the main seminar helps students integrate material from the linked class to deepen their understanding of the overall SPRIG topic.
Spring Interest Groups (SPRIGs) is a cohort program and participating students enroll in both courses so they get to know other people who share their interest in the topic. Learning in a community is an important feature of being in a SPRIG.
For more information, please visit our https://figs.wisc.edu/sprig/. There you will find general information about the program, full descriptions of the SPRIGs, details about the enrollment process and a link to the “request a seat form” that students need to fill out to secure a seat. Regardless of their registration time, students should reserve their seats as soon as possible. If you or they have any questions, please contact Kari.fernholz@wisc.edu.
