The Biology Major Peer Mentoring program is an opportunity for first- and second-year Biology Majors to connect with junior or senior Biology Majors to facilitate academic and personal growth. The program intends to help build community within the major and provide peer-focused support to students. The Biology Major mentors have been trained to provide insight on being successful in major, connecting mentees to campus resources, and identifying out-of-classroom opportunities related to bioscience fields.
Expectations are that mentee/mentor meetings will occur at least once per month (virtually or in-person, depending on comfort level). Mentees will also be invited to participate in group mentoring sessions led by mentors.
